Technology Integration Specialist
The Technology Integration Specialist is a member of the school faculty. He/she works in close association with the School Director and Assistant Principal to provide dynamic support to teachers in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the School’s educational technology program for the express purpose of promoting student learning and enabling students to acquire the knowledge, skills and understandings that ensure successful 21st century learning.
Promote the use of relevant technology and assist teachers with integration of technology in the classrooms to which he/she is assigned.
Work with teachers to develop unit and lesson plans and activities involving the use of technology.
Demonstrate the use of new or existing technology applications for teachers and students.
Develop and manage technology resources to be used by teachers and students.
Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of the school’s one-to-one iPad program (K to G3) and one-to-one laptop program (Grades 4 and up)
Ensure that the school’s collection of iPads for use in Grades K-3 are setup to support teaching and learning and are kept up-to date in terms of apps.
Develop and implement a procedure for the evaluation of software, hardware, and courseware, and for the sharing of the results of such evaluation.
Identify new and emerging educational technologies for the express purpose of applying these tools to support student and faculty learning.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
An advanced degree in educational technology;
Experience with and understanding of various educational technologies;
International School experience in providing educational technology support to teachers and students;
